Our Social Compliance Policy

Our social compliance policy includes the standards that we have established with all our business partners, based on our core principles and values and carried out with teamwork. Our goal is to ensure that the Social Compliance Policy becomes a corporate culture. For this reason, social compliance standards have been established and started to be implemented. In addition to creating products and services with social compliance standards, this policy commits to granting employees all rights arising from standards within the framework of the law, complying with occupational health and safety rules, being sensitive to the environment, and creating a workplace environment where employees are treated with open and honest communication, respect and value. The social compliance policy is announced to all our employees through trainings, our suppliers are informed and our suppliers are evaluated according to these criteria.

Within the scope of this policy, no sanctions or punitive actions are taken against employees who express their concerns, worries and complaints, and ‘notification boxes’ are used to express these concerns and worries. Employees can openly declare all kinds of opinions, requests, complaints and suggestions in the boxes, these are evaluated by senior management and necessary improvement activities are carried out for areas open to improvement. Continuous development activities are carried out in accordance with the regulations required by law and notifications from employees. The social compliance policy is announced to all our employees via the notice board, our suppliers are informed via our official website and our suppliers are evaluated according to these criteria.

Our Social Compliance Policy covers the following components:

  1. Forced Labor (Voluntary Labor): Our workplace does not employ forced labor for any employee. Working principles in our company are based on voluntariness. If an employee quits his/her job, the company does not prevent or postpone it, except for any security reasons. All kinds of information of our employees are protected and kept confidential to the extent specified by law.
  2. Prevention of Child Labor: Our workplace does not employ any employee under the age of 18 within the framework of corporate respect for the protection of children from all kinds of abuse, healthy development and the right to education. It acts in accordance with the procedures and principles of child and young labor.
  3. Prevention of Discrimination: Our workplace is committed to employing employees based on their ability to do the job, not according to language, religion, race, sect, color, ethnic origin, marital status, gender, political opinion, philosophical belief, age, pregnancy and disability. In the performance of these jobs, it provides equal opportunities to all employees, except for the special working conditions granted by law to pregnant women, young workers and persons with disabilities.
  4. Working Hours and Wages: (Wages / Salaries / Benefits) Our workplace pays its employees competitive wages according to the sectoral and local labor market. Our practices are carried out in full compliance with applicable laws and labor agreements on wages, working hours, overtime and fringe benefits. We offer our employees opportunities to develop their skills and capacities and support these efforts by providing opportunities for advancement whenever possible.
  5. Health and Safety: Our workplace ensures the creation and protection of a safe and healthy workplace environment. The Company aims to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries and exposure to all kinds of factors that threaten health and to ensure the continuity of our employees by creating a safe, healthy and productive work environment. In our organization, care is taken to provide a workplace environment free from violence, threats, abuse and disturbing conditions. All occupational health and safety rules regulated by legal legislation are applied.
  6. Commitment to Society and Stakeholders: Our workplace is committed to establishing bonds̆ on the basis of goodwill by listening to the views of its stakeholders, obtaining information from their views and taking their views into account. In this context, it determines employee representatives in accordance with the legal legislation, creates an environment where employees can discuss their problems with representatives and allows them to report their problems in writing in suggestion boxes. It commits to establish a dialog with its stakeholders, where appropriate, on issues related to the workplace and workplace rights within its sphere of influence.
  7. Employment of Foreign Nationals (Employment of Foreign Workers): For foreign national employees who are/will be employed in our workplace in accordance with the law, all personnel procedures from recruitment to termination of employment are carried out in accordance with the legal regulations in force. The legal rights of foreign employees to work are protected.
  8. Human Trafficking: Our workplace cannot employ illegal workers.
  9. Rest Days and Holidays: Our employees use their rest and vacation days within the framework of their legal rights. Working days vary according to the nature of the work.
  10. Recruitment and Employment: Open positions needed by the company management are determined by the company management and employment is carried out by the company management in accordance with the laws and within the framework of certain rules (egalitarian approach, leave, wages, vacation, employment contract, etc.).
  11. Employment Contract (Employer Contracts): An “Indefinite Term Employment Contract” or a “Definite Term Employment Contract” is prepared between our workplace and the person to be employed, in accordance with the workplace and the law and containing the conditions offered to the candidate employee. The employee who accepts to start work is made to sign the contract and the documents required by the job/institution. A copy of the employment contract is given to the employee in return for signature, and all rules and practices required by our organization and work are conveyed to the relevant employee through orientation training.
  12. Worker Discipline: Disciplinary rules determined by the disciplinary board are applied by our workplace in order to ensure disciplined work. The Company may not impose wage deduction sanctions in any way to discipline its employees.
  13. Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Issues: As our Company, one of our objectives is to ensure Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety to the maximum extent. It is among our priorities to minimize the risks that our environment and all parties affected by our activities may be exposed to and to ensure the safety of life, property and the environment; to meet and improve legal requirements, to raise the level of awareness on this issue and to ensure that our understanding of social responsibility is understood in society, including our customers.
  14. Compliance with Customs Legislation: The Company undertakes to comply with all applicable local and international customs regulations, to establish programs that comply with these regulations and to prevent the illegal shipment of its products.
  15. Right to Organize, Unionize and Collective Bargaining (Freedom of Association): Our workplace is committed to respect the right of all employees to organize, unionize and work collectively within the framework of legal regulations; not to oppress or discriminate against employees who exercise their right to organize, unionize and work collectively
  16. Compliance with Ethical Principles: Our workplace is committed to comply with all laws and regulations we are subject to, to keep records transparent and up-to-date to prove compliance with the relevant regulations, not to tolerate any form of corruption and bribery in your workplace; not to receive bribes and / or gifts in order to benefit, facilitate business, to create the necessary mechanisms and policies to combat corruption and bribery, to avoid situations that may create conflicts of interest, to protect the intellectual property rights of business partners.
  17. Wishes and Complaints: Our workplace undertakes to establish the necessary complaint and suggestion mechanism for each employee to communicate their wishes and complaints, to ensure that the employee works in a happy environment by making timely and effective evaluations and feedbacks, to ensure that the employee is not retaliated against in the wishes, suggestions and complaints made by the employee, to address complaints from the surrounding communities regarding the company and environmental issues (odor, noise, waste, etc.); to encourage the use of the complaint and suggestion mechanism as in the transmission of complaints from workers.

  1. Supply Chain Management: Our workplace is committed to obtaining social compliance commitments from suppliers, subcontractors and business partners, evaluating each of them in terms of social compliance, monitoring the reasonable and adequate measures they take according to the results of the evaluation, and supporting a mutual cooperation approach to continuously improve their social compliance levels.
  2. Compliance with Laws and Other Obligations: The Company undertakes to continuously monitor and operate in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, our customers’ business partnership rules and the Management Systems standards that we voluntarily implement.
  3. Product Safety Measures: It undertakes to ensure that its shipments are free of undeclared goods (drugs, explosives, illegal biological or chemical substances and contraband goods) that may violate security.
  4. Management System: It undertakes to carry out the activities of the Social Compliance and Social Performance team under a management framework that complies with applicable laws and regulations, customers’ social compliance standards, workplace codes of conduct and BSCI principles, to carry out continuous improvement activities on this issue and to review them periodically, and to provide the budget needed for all these studies.
